　　Mark Twain was one of the best known American writers of the 19th century,who was the American humorist,novelist,writer and famous orator as well.He was born in Missouri of United States in 1835 and died in 1910.Mark Twain's hometown was located on the Mississippi River.In his early adulthood,he worked on a boat on the Mississippi River as a sailor.Mark Twain was his pen name,which was derived from the phrase used in measuring the depth of the water.

　　Mark Twain had written a large number of novels,and the most notable one is The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.He was known as Lincoln in the literary history.His masterpieces have been translated into different languages,deeply loved by readers around the world.
