小学英语阅读材料：凌乱的房间
Papa calls a family meeting right then and there. "It isn't fair to your mama and me, because we have a lot of other things to take care of. And it isn't fair to you, because you really can't have fun in a messy room," Papa says.熊爸爸当场立即召开了家庭会议。“我们有那么多东西要收拾，这对你妈妈和我不公平。而你们在凌乱的房间里玩的不开心，对你们也不公平。”熊爸爸说。
"But Mama is putting all our things into that box! "say Sister and Brother.“但是妈妈把我们所有的东西都放在那个箱子里！”熊妹妹和熊哥哥说。
Papa has an idea. “A box!” he says. “A lot of different kinds of boxes – a big toy box for large toys and some smaller boxes for collections and models.”熊爸爸想到了一个主意。“一个箱子！”他说。“许多不同的箱子---一个装大玩具的大玩具箱和一些装收藏品和模型的小箱子。”
"Great idea!"says Mama.“好主意！”熊妈妈很赞同。
Papa makes a fine big toy box. The cubs and Mama sort toys and books and put them into the boxes. It is a very big job.爸爸做了一个很漂亮的大玩具箱。孩子们和熊妈妈一起把玩具和书籍分开并装进了箱子里。这可是一个大工程。
The job is finished.“Wow!”says Brother. “That was quite a job, but it was worth it!”“It looks like a new room!” says sister.工作完成了。“哇哦！”熊哥哥很兴奋。“真是个大工程，但是很值得！”“看上去像一个新房间！”熊妹妹说。
