小学英语阅读材料Clifford T-bone tells the truth欣赏
1. One day, Cleo is in her yard. "I love my new bird-bath. I can't wait to show it to Clifford and T-bone!" she says. Cleo runs off to find them.
2. Suddenly, T-bone comes into Cleo's yard. He doesn't see the bird-bath. Crash! "Oh, no! I broke Cleo's bird-bath. She'll be mad!" says T-bone.
3. Clifford walks into Cleo's yard. He sees T-bone. "Are you okay?" asks Clifford.
4. Just then, Cleo comes home. "What happened to my beautiful bird-bath?" she shouts. Cleo is very angry. "Clifford did it!" says T-bone.
5. "Clifford, why did you break my bird-bath?" says Cleo. "I didn't break it, Cleo," says Clifford. "Yes, you did. T-bone said so," says Cleo. Clifford looks at T-bone.
6. T-bone feels bad. "No, Cleo, I broke it. I'm sorry. And I'm sorry, Clifford, for saying that it was you," says T-bone.
7. "That's okay, T-bone," says Cleo. "I'm glad you told the truth," says Clifford. "Now let's fix this bird-bath."
8. Clifford, T-bone and Cleo work together and fix the bird-bath.
